Your mission

• Be responsible for all our Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, and Data Governance efforts across the business. Partner with each business function to solve complex problems with the help of data and unlock maximum value from our data assets.
• Lead team of talented Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers.
• Steer the development of ML models to automate business decisioning along the real-estate value chain
• Implement a business intelligence and data warehouse infrastructure to support advanced data analytics across all functions of the business
• Own the ML and Data architecture and technical infrastructure (e.g., experiment design, process, data visualization, reporting, predictive analysis, etc.)
• Solve complex scientific real-estate and Geo-related problems to improve the quality of ML solutions
• Partner with essential stakeholders (both tech and business) to define priorities, approaches, business requirements, and vision to enhance the Ml/Analytical solutions further.
• Plan and deliver a data roadmap in accordance with the overall company priorities, track and deliver the and track project milestones.
• Providing the larger picture, long-term perspective, and context (past, current, and future) behind business, scientific, and technology choices;
• Develop and implement tools for new data sources acquisition, extraction, transformation, management, and manipulation of large and complex data sets.
• Develop relationships with external data and analytics vendors and interact with them as needed.
• Recruit and engage high-quality talent and cultivate both team and employee growth.
• Represent the team’s work, demonstrating impact and disseminating learnings to senior leaders and cross-functional groups and advocating for additional investment where needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, suggesting and designing data product improvements to more thoroughly and confidently provide data insights.

Your profile

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Business Intelligence, or Analytics
• 2+ years of industry experience in leadership roles
• Broad experience in data transformation initiatives, statistical and experimental design, predictive modeling, large scale data acquisition, transformation, and cleaning, both structured and unstructured data, machine learning applications as well as architecture and software development;
• Proficient knowledge of modern data science, product and web analytics tools, and underlying data warehousing, data pipelining, and transformation orchestration.
• Excellent skills at being able to communicate complex analysis and insights to highly diverse audiences with varying technical depth
• Experience in self-serve analytics and educating stakeholders about data refinement
• Domain expertise in one of the following domains: predictive modeling, time series forecasting, computer vision, text mining, natural language processing, Geo-data, and text analytics
• Nice to have exposure to tools in the distributed computing, GPU, cloud platforms, and Big Data domains is a plus (e.g., GCP, AWS, MS Azure, Hadoop, Spark)
• Practical familiarity with Agile framework
• Experience in some machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., scikit-learn, H2O, TensorFlow, MXNet, PyTorch, CNTK, MLlib) is required;
• Proficiency with data wrangling, visualization, and modeling in either R or Python is expected.
• Fluent in English and preferably in German
