Global Trainee Long Products (m/f/d)

YOU ACT

We offer you a variety of opportunities and multiple insights into our Center of Excellence Long Products. You will work in our global teams on exciting projects with well-known customers from various sectors. In 18 to 24 months, we will jointly develop an excellent basis for your future at the SMS group and prepare you for responsible tasks.

What exactly awaits you in our Trainee Program?

  • Participation in extensive projects in different areas
  • Intensive involvement in day-to-day business and getting to know our product range and learn about processes
  • A wide range of assignments in areas such as design, sales, technology as well as preliminary costing, internal processing or product management
  • Valuable practical experience through integrated foreign assignments at our locations in China, India and Italy (obligatory)
  • Diverse further training programmes regarding tools as well as personal and professional skills
  • Supervision by an experienced mentor, support by a buddy and a peer coaching
  • A permanent employment contract from the beginning and a common decision on the target position towards the end of the Trainee Program

YOU KNOW

You have an above-average (Master’s) degree in mechanical, process or business engineering. Furthermore, it is important to us that you are curious, flexible and motivated and have a hands-on mentality. In addition:

  • A strong interest in innovation and the ability to think outside the box
  • Confident communication skills
  • A goal-oriented and structured way of working
  • Open mindedness to proactively shape interculturality
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Confident use of MS Office tools and a general affinity for IT applications
  • Knowledge of SAP and Creo desirable, but not essential
  • Interest in and willingness for international business trips and intercultural cooperation

1. I am an ambitious and open-minded person who loves to learn about new topics and new people.

2. When I think about travelling to at least three more countries, I am already sitting on packed suitcases.

3. Working in different teams where English is also mainly spoken does not scare me.
