For our site in Wetzlar, we are searching for an Embedded Systems Engineer (d/f/m)to start as soon as possible.

In this exciting position, you will be responsible for the development of future-oriented technologies in the area of embedded systems that are used in our products, with the aim of providing the components economically, on time and with the right quality.

Your Responsibilities
  • You research and develop innovative features and integrate them into embedded modules of our Leica microscopes
  • You program in a modern high-level language
  • You will work on concepts and their implementation to meet the requirements of our customers and new applications as part of a highly motivated and interdisciplinary team
  • You are responsible for the creation and documentation of the development documents including test instructions and functional descriptions
  • You will be responsible for the construction, testing and release of functional models, prototypes, and series components to ensure the quality of the developed components
  • You will carry out feasibility studies to ensure the feasibility of new concepts and ideas
  • You provide support for new start-ups and problems in ongoing production to ensure quality
OUR EXPECTATIONS
  • Be educated degree level in one of the following areas: mathematics/computer science/natural sciences/technology
  • Have numerous years of experience in the field of embedded systems and are familiar with programming in a modern high-level language
  • You have experience in the development of Linux applications
  • Possess knowledge of Yocto or Buildroot
  • You are ready to expand your skills for new technologies
  • You have already gained initial professional experience in a comparable position
  • Your way of working is solution-oriented, and you apply methodology and analytics for problem analysis and resolution
  • You have good communication skills
  • You are fluent in German and English (both written and spoken)
