Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This role has two key and distinct focus areas:

  • Regulatory Rewards:Responsibility over all Rewards topics considered to form part of the collective agreement or which fall under the scope of the German Works Council; and
  • Global Compensation:Contribution to the Executive & Global Compensation team to ensure the successful delivery of the HR Rewards offering

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Rewards

  • Germany ownership:
  • On behalf of Rewards, own the relationships with the German Works Council, building positive working relationships with open dialogue
  • Together with Labor Relations, lead the negotiations with the Germany Works Council on all Rewards-related topics, as well as supporting negotiations with the Austria Works Council
  • Contribute to the preparation of legal agreements (e.g. Company Agreements etc.)
  • Prepare and deliver training/communication material & change management related to Rewards programs, with a focus on Compensation. Support consultation with Executives
  • Work together with Global Lead Experts for Compensation, Benefits and Cross-Border Employment (CBE), as well as Germany Rewards Partners to understand upcoming programs and initiatives, and provide expert advice on Germany-specific requirements
  • Guarantee compliance of Rewards programs with all regulatory requirements in Germany. Oversee thorough development, tracking and reporting of KPIs
  • Ensure compliance of Rewards programs and structure with collective agreements
  • Drive projects, initiatives and implementation of any collective agreement elements and changes related to and brought about by collective agreements
  • Participate in, moderate and represent in internal strategic teams composed of Labor Relations, Site Lead, Employment Law, HR Governance & Processes and Talent
  • Global oversight
  • Have oversight and monitor Rewards regulatory reporting requirements globally, owning the delivery in Germany, including but not limited to the annual Remuneration Report and Pay Equity reporting
  • Create and maintain a record of country and/or region-specific considerations for the implementation of Rewards programs, including but not limited to labor law requirements and employee representative bodies
  • Create and maintain a record of applicable owners or contact points for the above

Global Compensation

  • Support the design & delivery of Executive, Equity & Global compensation programs, in alignment with market practice and the adidas business and people strategy, based in data & analytics and ensuring the best Employee Experience
  • Remain abreast of existing and future trends in Germany and implications on Rewards
  • Manage relationships to and contractual relationships with external vendors relevant to the role
  • Participate in, moderate and represent in external networks

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working closely with German Works Councils or other employee representative bodies
  • University degree or adequate education with emphasis on Rewards, Law, Labor Relations, Language skills: German (Fluent) & English (Fluent) required
  • Proven executive mnagement influencing and negotiation skills
  • 10years of overall work experience within HR preferred
  • Experience leading direct or indirect teams
  • Experience working in an international matrix organization
