For our Global Communications team at Sandoz we are looking for a Director, Leadership and Associate Engagement (d/f/m). Within this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing internal communications across our worldwide Sandoz network to support strategic business objectives and drive leadership and associate engagement. You will play a key role in driving leadership ability to communicate our strategic narrative, link leaders and associates to company purpose and culture, and engage them around the future of Sandoz. Furthermore, you will also act to strengthen information cascading and instil continuous listening and two-way interaction.

This role aims to help employees feel connected to the company and its purpose in a way that motivates them to perform their job to the best of their abilities and encourages them to strive to reach their maximum potential. The position has no functional direct reports and requires a matrix management of project teams.

This position is based in Holzkirchen (near Munich).

Your key responsibilities:
  • Development and implementation of global internal communication strategies that support business objectives by delivering ongoing improvement in leadership and associate engagement. This includes program development of appropriate content and activities and development of and measurement against appropriate KPIs
  • Develop strategies that continually improve communication cascade across the company and implement communication tactics, including events such as webcasts or town halls
  • Develop programs to continuously improve leadership’s ability to communicate effectively and authentically
  • Develop a compelling strategic narrative for internal use in close collaboration with members of the Communications team and key business stakeholders
  • Liaise closely with the People & Organization (Human Resources) team as well as members of the Communications team to engage leaders around our change and culture journey
  • Drive the use of digital at Sandoz. Increase leader and associate use of internal social media channels to support more effective and engaging two-way communication in collaboration with our Communications team
  • Develop a leadership journey and program including event management, such as the Sandoz Leadership Meetings and Leaders Calls
  • Drive the use of data and measurement to inform more strategic leadership communications.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a communications role within a major corporation or public relations agency, at least 2 years in internal communications
  • Master or Bachelor Degree in Communications, Business or related area
  • English-native; additional languages a plus
  • Strong experience in editing and creating of engaging stories and video content to build compelling multimedia assets
  • Excellent organizational and event planning skills, ability to balance priorities and to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and collaboratively with team, committed to create “Best in Class” communications programs
  • Proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach
  • Interest in applying of new communication technologies and solutions
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural and diverse international environment
  • Open for occasional travel
