Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization

Leads the Color Management Team within the Global Creative Direction Design Function.

Owns management of processes and systems for Physical and Digital Color tools and libraries.

Manages the governance of color requests and the technical Creation and Implementation of the Color Direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and manage the Color Management team
  • Build an inclusive and winning team culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Manage and own the physical and digital color asset creation & systems. Own the distribution to internal and external partners
  • Ensure continuous improvement on physical color development processes according to the business priorities
  • Plan and ensure adherence to annual budget for color management
  • Verbally present strategies with clarity and expertise
  • Create best in class practises, strive to be industry leading and build new partnerships internally and externally to enable this
  • Provide guidance, communication, and education on Color Information with physical and digital tools
  • Role model and execute according to our brand leadership model and enhance relationships between internal and external key stakeholders
  • Implement new tools, technologies, and solutions in collaboration with the Director Color Innovation and Sustainability
Key Relationships
  • Creative Direction Color team
  • Cross-functional collaborations:
  • Color, Materials and Graphics partners in Design and Development teams in vertical Business categories (i.e., BU Training, Running, Originals etc.).
  • Business partners in horizontal functions i.e., Quality and Standards, Innovation, IT, Global Operations and Sourcing, Legal Department
  • External suppliers and partners
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge and experience in design/industrial product with experience of color standard creation
  • Experienced and understanding of product: from color, material, construction to production
  • Ability to understand design concepts and support with technical solutions
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving attitude and can-do personality
  • Innovative and collaborative leader and coach
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge and use of Macintosh & Adobe computer design software/systems
  • Knowledge of product development systems
  • Intellectual Curiosity to learn and grow in the art and science of color
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates degree or bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university in the field of industrial product creation
  • Minimum of 8 years of practical experience in relevant area
  • Minimum of 3 years management including team leadership
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree
  • Proven depth and breadth of experience in product creation and implementation
