We are looking for energetic and talented people to join our team working across our sponsors in Europe, Africa, and the US to solve big problems and help make the world a safer place. We have immediate openings supporting our team in Stuttgart, Germany. We work to solve the most challenging international security problems across Europe and Africa by strategically partnering with the Department of Defense to apply advanced capabilities to real world operational needs in the near term and strategically positioning to address longer term critical challenges.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will develop recommended information operations strategies and implementation approaches to enable US European Command (USEUCOM), US Africa Command (USAFRICOM), and their service components, to effectively plan and execute cyber operations missions and cyber security cooperation programs with allies and partners. The candidate will conduct operational and systems engineering analysis of plans, capabilities, architectures, processes, and concepts to inform recommendations for the US Department of Defense in Europe and Africa, as well as selected partner nations. This position will require periodic international travel.

Selected candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Develop data-driven recommendations. Define and guide operational assessments of information operations, processes, and architectures in the context of mission-driven, theater-level needs and adversary’s abilities to disrupt and degrade those architectures and operations for both US Department of Defense and Partner Nations. Engage with partner nations and apply systems engineering best practices to develop a detailed understanding of their information operations challenges and requirements to inform country plans, bilateral technical objectives, and security cooperation plans. Enable users to understand technical implementation specifics in terms of operational capabilities and limitations for mission execution. Conduct analysis of alternatives between multiple technical approaches and develop actionable courses of action. Understand and communicate best practices and recommendations into time-phased implementation plans and roadmaps.
  • Technical competence. Demonstrate strong familiarity and skill in one or more of the following areas: (1) Offensive Cyber Operations; (2) Defensive Cyber Operations; (3) US DoD Non-Kinetic Cyber & EW) Targeting Systems and Processes; (4) Operational Cyber Risk Management.
  • Interpersonal skills. Demonstrate strong technical and programmatic leadership and partner with senior US and partner nation military leaders and action officers to identify operational challenges, develop functional and technical requirements, identify potential solutions, and clearly communicate planning goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration. Develop a robust network of MITRE and other professional connections to engage and collaborate with Information Operations engineers and operators, operational subject matter experts, international program specialists, and defense acquisition professionals. Wield, develop, and differentiate the role of FFRDCs in the security cooperation enterprise.
  • Senior Sponsor Experience. Comfortably and respectfully engage with both US and foreign nations’ senior military leaders and engineers as well as commercial executives and managers.
  • Flexibility. Be able to modify and alter course as the environment and sponsor priorities shift. Understand the power of reach-back and be an effective conduit to bring the talent forward to execute at the right time.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in a related technical discipline, such as Computer Science, Computer Programming, Information Technology, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer), Mathematics, or related field and 5 years of related experience; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Five years of professional experience
  • Effective and influential oral communications skills
  • Strong written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in a related technical discipline, such as Computer Science, Computer Programming, Information Technology, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer), Mathematics, or related field and 10 years of related experience; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Previous experience in military Information Operations.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense military missions
  • Demonstrated capability for bridging Information Operations technical capabilities and military operations
  • Additional clearances: NATO SECRET

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$114,500 - $143,000 - $171,500 Annual
