As a recruiting partner of Olin Germany Upstream GmbH & Co. KG we are looking for you as Accountant(a) for the location in Schwalbach Germany (Frankfurt Area). As part of the international finance team you will be responsible for the effective and reliable operation of the accounting and for the compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, Tax, VAT and Legal reporting requirements for several legal entities within the EMEAI region. What You Will Be Doing
  • Accounting month end process for German legal entities, including preparing general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Responsibility for the proper accounting on the financial statements, including areas such as revenue recognition, accruals, reserves, contingencies, debt, pensions and account reconciliations
  • Evaluate and analyze financial transactions, provide support for Olin Corporate US GAAP compliance and ensure compliance of EMEAI legal entities with Corporate Accounting policies and procedures
  • Preparation of annual statutory statements according to HGB (German GAAP) provide necessary information external auditors
  • Ensure business processes are performed in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Perform analysis of actual results vs. forecast, budget and prior year, identifying trends and recommending courses of action
  • Ad Hoc Tasks
What You Bring To The Job
  • A Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) or equivalent in business economics or accounting, Certified Charted Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter
  • Several years of relevant experience within General Ledger department, ideally within manufacturing environment
  • German GAAP (HGB) experience is required
  • The ability to present ideas and have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good human relations skills is required
  • Advanced computer skills on SAP and Excel are expected
  • Pro-active, hands on mentality, convincing, motivated, team player
  • En: B2 – Upper Intermediate
  • Ge: B2 – Upper Intermediate
