The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Berlin based accounting team as an Accountant and support on the accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting of the German WOW Tech entities.

Tasks

  • You are responsible for the day-to-day accounting.
  • You reconcile general ledgers and sub-ledgers, prepare account specifications and solve discrepancies and mismatches within our ERP and accounting system Oracle Netsuite.
  • You support in the preparation of internal and external audits as well as in the general audit and reconciliation of accounts.
  • You are responsible for processing of payment transactions and liquidity management.
  • You participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB for three German entities.
  • You actively participate in and contribute to the improvement of (administrative) processes
Requirements

  • You were able to gain first experience in accounting. Work experience in an international setup as well as in the area of eCommerce or consumer goods is a plus.
  • You have experience with German GAAP (HGB). IFRS experience is an asset.
  • You are used to work with MS Office, with especially good Excel skills.
  • You have high quality standards and have a structured and analytical way of thinking.
  • You are a reliable and conscientious as well as engaging team player.
  • You are fluent in German as well as in English.
