Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • The Technician will provide remote fault diagnosis, carry out routine maintenance of the static Voice infrastructure, management appliances, and support other NATO Voice and VTC equipment.
  • Working as part of a team the Support Voice & VTC Technician will need to be comfortable at times working in shifts to create, report, track and close Voice & VTC tickets and be able to assist in the logistic and asset management of voice & VTC services equipment across NATO’s international locations.
Requirements

  • Creating collaborative networks with peers internally and externally is important to you and for your success in this role.
  • At least 4 years’ operation and configuration experience of Cisco Call Managers and Call Mangers Express;
  • At least 4 years’ operation and configuration experience of Poly VTC Endpoints;
  • At least 4 years’ operation and configuration experience with audio and video systems, such as monitors, projectors, microphones, camera’s;
  • At least 4 years’ operation and configuration experience with audio and video standards, such as HDMI, DVI, RCA;
  • At least 4 years’ operation and configuration experience of Cisco Unified Border Elements;
  • Good knowledge of protocols and standards utilized in VoIP and Unified Communications; SIP, TLS, MGCP, H.323, RTP (incl. G.711, G.729 codecs), and other similar standards;
  • At least 4 years’ experience with deployment and configuration of VoIP solutions including Call Managers, management appliances and endpoints;
  • Experience with deployment and configuration VoIP equipment integration with Unified Communications solutions such as Microsoft Skype for Business;
  • Experience with deployment, testing and evaluation of communications gateway Session Border Controller; Cisco CUBE;
  • An understanding of the classic Telecommunication technology including TDM;
  • Ideally have experience with Cisco Call Centre Express (UCCX)
  • Ideally have experience with VMWare virtualization technologies
  • Ideally be familiar with military voice and data systems;
  • Ideally be familiar with non- Poly VTC Endpoints
