trivago is a global hotel search platform. We are focused on reshaping the way travellers search for and compare hotels. We’re searching for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced analyst to provide our development teams with the guidance they need to drive products and features forward. Working with huge data-sets, you’ll draw conclusions from multivariate testing scenarios, gather insights on complex topics to drive further understanding of our users and push our expanding set of products to the next level with informed decisions.

You will be joining the Weekend Business Unit, whose mission is to provide our users attractive and inspiring weekend packages. We’re a diverse team of individuals passionate about product development and solving complex problems using data. We look forward to meeting you!

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Provide insights into user behaviour through big data exploration
  • Analyse the results of A/B tests on our products and consult on testing matters
  • Support the pitching process in all areas
  • Own and drive iteratively the creation, design and maintenance of impactful dashboards used to monitor relevant KPIs across diverse teams
  • Improve the search & recommendation features of our product

Who We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of work experience in a role-relevant field such as Data Analysis
  • Experience using A/B testing for product experimentation
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivation and team-working skills
  • Ability to initiate and lead projects with multiple stakeholders across different departments.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL languages (e.g, Hive, Impala, BigQuery)
  • Experience handling large data sets.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Programming languages like R or Python
  • E-commerce and/or product analytics
  • Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive etc
  • Creating and maintaining dashboards with visualization software, such as Looker, Tableau or similar tooling.
  • Maths/Statistics/related discipline at Bachelors or higher
