Business Development Manager APS (m/f/d)
Home office based - any location in Germany
Your Key Responsibilities
This role is to focus upon building and selling Aggreko temporary solutions across all product ranges for Process Enhancement and Turnaround opportunities within the Petro-chem and Refining sectors. This is a unique chance to join the Aggreko Process Services (APS) Team to take a leading role in ensuring together with the local areas the development and growth of profitable revenue. This role will also have a degree of flexibility to support the back office APS design team when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying and developing value added opportunities that may fall outside a typical commodity rental within defined market sectors, Petrochemical and Refinery.
- Responsible for securing appointments with key accounts.
- Follow market trends of the sectors and advise on appropriate sales approach and propositions to the market.
- Monitor, control and achieve sales and customer support revenue volumes and gross margin against budgeted targets in defined CoEur (Continental Europe) countries.
- Prepare accurate and timely forecast information and other sales management information as required.
- Heighten the profile of the company in these markets by building and creating recognition as an industry leader in innovation and progressive product solutions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all associated personnel on a group-wide basis.
- Increase APS awareness among the existing sales teams in the areas concerned.
- Work closely together with local German representatives of Aggreko, both commercially and technically.
- Recognize and coordinate the Aggreko resources to best address the customer opportunities.
- Work with the Marketing team to develop advertising, PR, sales campaigns and appropriate literature.
- Liaise with the local areas to ensure a good working relationship and optimum use of resources for the market segments.
- Create and maintain relationships at key levels with selected customers and accounts.
- Take an active role in customer visits, technical responses and contract negotiations.
- Minimum of 5 years technical experience in refinery or downstream processes preferably in Oil&Gas.
- ideally experience of selling (or renting) capital equipment or selling a technical / engineering consultancy service.
- Commercially astute technical sales professional with significant experience.
- Preferably an engineering or scientific background (Chemical or Process Engineering),
- Proficiency at developing and delivering outstanding presentations to potential and existing customers, at purchasing, engineering and management levels.
- Preferably good knowledge in cooling and TC applications.
- Good IT literacy including the use of business information systems.
- Good proficiency in speaking German and English.
- This position requires 80% travel mainly within Germany, in part to other European countries
