SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)
As a global supplier to the semiconductor industry, we provide advanced copper interconnects, die attachment, wafer bump processes, solder technologies, fluxes, cleaners, and other attachment materials for the integrated circuit fabrication, semiconductor packaging, and electronic assembly industries. Job Purpose
The role of Business Development Manager for SAS is to be the expert for specific technologies and applications related to break through strategic initiatives and use that knowledge and expertise to drive business in close collaboration with the sales teams. Furthermore, this role coordinates all activities with LOB and Applications centers to win the business.
Job Responsibilities
- To drive the creation, implementation, and execution of the regional business development strategy of power electronics segment for East China region, North and West China region under responsibility, by working closely with business units, SA(Strategic Accounts), Sales management team in alignment with company growth strategies.
- Become and maintain the expert on our power electronics solutions – especially Argomax® sintering portfolio and solder preforms to be able to drive the sales of these products in defined market, customer, or application segments based on deep technical insights.
- Takes the lead in driving, coordinating, prioritizing and supporting sales opportunities and together LOB decides and sales.
- Be the main contact person/interface between the region and the line of business and Application centers.
- Be the trusted advisor for customers building long term relationships along with the sales teams.
- Drive and support the value sell of our solutions and translate that to real customer value.
- Advice, supports with, and addresses customer qualification and implementation issues for area of responsibility.
- Where needed train selected salespeople on the “how to sell” of these products/technologies under care with focus on recognizing opportunities and the value that our solutions bring.
- Leverage the sales teams to generate sales leads and expand the customer base, markets and/or applications.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Engineering degree, at minimum Bachelor in Material Science, Chemistry or Chemical engineering, Mechanics, Electronics or equivalent.
- Background in power electronics or SMT.
- At least 5 years technical role.
- Able to travel up to >50% of working time.
- Proven track record of commercial successes based on deep technical/technology insights.
- Self driven for learning and managing new technology, product, applications.
- Willing to challenge and Enthusiastic for success.
Skills
- Good English speaking and communication skills.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Good knowledge of SMT or sintering for power electronics.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
