We are now recruiting a Business Controlling Lead position responsible for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to provide excellent financial business support to their sales and marketing teams. As Business Controlling Lead, you will create a strong relationship with business stakeholders and the leadership team to provide innovative solutions and to be a strong finance business partner. You will directly report to the EU Senior Finance Head, lead a small multinational team and work as a proactive and trusted partner to the teams in the DACH region.

Main responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with the Sales & Marketing Teams to ensure robust financial forecasts throughout the annual planning cycle.
  • Create and submit on a timely basis monthly financial forecasts and AOP financials based on input from the sales ensuring, clarity of assumptions, understanding of drivers and phasing.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly results analysis and define drivers of key variances.
  • Proactively identify risks and data trends and suggest corrective actions.
  • Determine process optimization potentials, develop new solutions and implement necessary changes - cross-functional.
  • Recommend actions to address performance opportunities and deviations to improve profitability and productivity of the business and provide business partnering on all commercial matters.
  • Train the sales teams in commercial financial topics as required.

Requirements:

  • Finance degree or equivalent qualification
  • Strong Master finance background with solid knowledge of accounting principles
  • At least 3+ hands-on experience as Business Controller, Finance Business Partner or Finance Manager
  • Previous experience supporting a sales function is essential
  • Excellent systems knowledge (SAP, MS Office, Hyperion)
  • Strong analytical skills, planning, and modelling skills
  • Very strong communication and partnership skills
  • Native German and full working proficiency of English language required.
