YOUR TASKS:
- Support the design and development of enterprise wide data analysis and reporting solutions.
- Review and analyse data from multiple sources.
- Communicate analysis results and make recommendations to countries and management.
- Develop quality assurance practices and assessments across customs processes.
- Deliver standard reporting on-time and to minimum required standard.
- All Data is accurate, congruent and reliable, and harvested and processed in line with DHL / customer standards, and foremost, in line with specific legislative requirements.
- Change initiatives are delivered with a depth of understanding and consequent relevance to customs operations and other areas of the business.
- Quality assurance practices embedded within each area of responsibility with transparent results published.
- Business direction in ’what is important’ in data capture, analytics and resulting ’actions’.
- Valid data provision for the development of customs business cases in support of process changes, cost down initiatives and/or IT improvement Projects.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business, transportation and/ or project management-related discipline beneficial.
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years DHL experience.
- Ideally previous experience gained with DHL Operations/ customs environment with a good knowledge of the DHL network.
- Understanding of transportation, courier, import and export operations in the region.
- High attention to detail.
- Highly organised.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel and Powerpoint).
- Experience in MS Access desirable.
- Structured project and change management experience utilising recognised systems and processes like PRINCE2.
- Knowledge of express/transport operations processes preferred.
- Proven ability to prepare analytical reports highlighting and interpreting key business information.
- Good financial acumen.
- Ability to work very independently but still form part of the team and support colleagues.
- Flexibility in operating style and attitude, tailoring approach to different stakeholders and backgrounds.
- Diplomatic yet tenacious and sensitive to cultural differences.
- Good presentation skills, good negotiating and influencing skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, other languages are beneficial.
