For our tax department DACH at the Hamburg location, we are looking for a German certified tax advisor as
Assistant Tax Manager (m/w/d)
to take care of the interests of our companies in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). We want to further strengthen our team and would like to see a certified tax advisor with a big-four background who is looking for new challenges in the industry.
YOUR TASKS
Regarding our companies in Austria and Switzerland:
Support of all tax matters in cooperation with the DACH Tax Manager and external consultants
including the creation of the transfer pricing documentation ("local file" and internal intercompany services documentation (FCCR)) and
the supervision of tax audits
Regarding our companies in Germany:
Participation in the Tax Reporting process (internal; calculation of current and deferred tax, reconciliations, ETR forecasts)
Participation in the Tax Compliance process (working with shared service centre and outsource provider)
Participation in the creation of the transfer pricing documentation ("local file" and FCCR)
Participation in tax audits with a focus on corporate tax law and transfer pricing:
Processing of tax enquiries within the framework of the so-called "Business Partnering"
VAT – process support with DACH Tax Manager and external advisors
Communication with Tax authorities
First point of contact for the business on tax treatment questions (Business partnering)
Local contact for Intrastat
Overarching tasks
Cooperation, in particular with the DACH Tax Manager on local and cross-border tax projects, including M&A
Ongoing continuation and development of the internal tax risk compliance and management system
Participation in the digitization of the control function in DACH
WHAT YOU CONTRIBUTE:
Completed Master’s degree, preferably in business administration with a focus on business taxation / tax law
Certified German Tax Advisor with at least 3 years of professional experience in tax consulting, preferably in big-four companies or similar experiences
Generalist with first practical experience and interest in tax compliance, tax reporting, tax risk management, international tax law and transfer pricing
Affinity to tax and digitalization as well as willingness to constantly change working methods and structures
High communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to perform and customer orientation
Self-employed working method coupled with rapid understanding, analytical and conceptual skills, flexibility, resilience and solution-oriented action
Good MS Office knowledge
Fluent in German language as well as negotiable English skills in written and spoken
