We are now looking for a committed and motivated Antenna Product Cost Expert located in Rosenheim, Germany.

Our focus is on advanced passive and active antenna systems from 2G to 5G and beyond. We’re engaged in antenna systemization to improve overall system performance, drive and secure antenna technology and development.

The team is involved in all aspects of the product development process, technical studies, pre-development and designs for high volume products. Your role will include antenna system engineering activities such as: requirement and architecture analysis, definition of product cost targets, deriving product and component cost, driving product cost improvement and documentation.

What you will do:

  • Provide systematic Design to Cost know how and methods for the product development and ensure implementation based on the system architecture
  • Drive and ensure product cost work within design base studies, pre-development, component and antenna product development projects
  • Generate and update product cost improvement ideas in collaboration with the project team to achieve the cost target
  • Perform product cost reviews with the project team, follow up on component and antenna level together with the cost controllers
  • Be able to prepare estimation / answers towards SPM and other product stakeholders
  • Be actively involved before technical decisions during execution phase to secure cost-awareness
  • Break down cost targets of design base / antenna to component level
  • Review and update of product cost targets
  • Visualize and address any delta of cost versus target to project and object leaders
  • Work on mid- and long-term strategy for product cost improvements
  • Support competitive analyses and benchmarking

You will bring:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science, Ph.D., Post Doc or similar degree in Electrical Engineering, Business or Industrial Engineering or Mechanics with RF background
  • 5+ years of work experience within product cost management, system engineering, antenna development and / or controlling is particularly advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge of the cost situation of antennas for mobile communication, components and manufacturing cost is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of Design to Cost methods like target costing, value analysis, value management, reverse engineering, benchmarking, experience curve analysis
  • Good understanding in radio and RF antenna technologies, products and related standards is recommended
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with a passion for teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to teach, coach, challenge and develop individuals, teams and organization
  • Analytical and methodical approach with strong problem solving skills
  • Self-motivation, result orientation and customer focus
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
