Android Framework Developer (m/f/d)

RESPONSIBILITIES

We at trinamiX have developed a novel 3D imaging and material classification system. Our vision: Enable improved decision-making and security through unique sensing technologies that understand the hidden data all around us. Help us showcase our system to potential partners in the smartphone, automotive, and other industries.

• One of your main tasks is writing services for the precise, direct manipulation of phone cameras and including them into custom builds of Android OS.
• Furthermore, you integrate our software stack into the Android Open Source Project and make it available to vendors.
• You ensure that the Trinamix Vision Processing Framework runs cleanly on Android.
• Last but not least, you are available to your colleagues for questions about Android.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• deep understanding of the Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and system services
• at least two years of experience with Android native development using C++ and the NDK
• Kotlin or Java skills
• experience with Android platform binary development, including modifying and building AOSP source code, would be highly desirable
• knowledge of the Android biometric and neural net APIs, Linux middleware/framework development, sandboxing and SELinux would also be helpful
• fluent spoken and written English
