Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division is looking for an Ambassador Distribution (m/f/d)

Description

The position of Ambassador Distribution is within our Business Unit Infectious Diseases located at Alere GmbH Germany, Cologne.

The Ambassador IDDM is responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts, managing and improving customer relationships, improving profitability of accounts, and handling first line service.

Responsibilities And Duties
  • Full revenue responsibility, including forecasting and target performance achievement
  • Act as a trusted partner and main contact to customers
  • Manage and drive the development of their accounts, including key activities such as: strategic account management and post-sales implementation process
  • New product and menu expansion targeting and sales support
  • Prepare and execute regular customer business reviews
  • Build and lead internal cross functional selling team to execute sales strategies
  • Oversee progress of cross-functional implementation team (post-sale)
  • Build and lead internal cross functional selling team to manage contract renewals and negotiate long-term contracts
  • Provide first line support and technical trouble shooting, stand-alone test of record (TOR), elevate level 2+ issues to service specialists
  • Provide training and coaching to customers
  • Success in this role is measured by service level achievement, economic profitability, customer satisfaction, contract renewal rate and managed revenue
Requirements
  • Primary degree in BA or equivalent work experience in the field of diagnostics
  • Ability to think innovatively and not be constrained by current practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5-7 years track record in the diagnostic industry with an emphasis on managing and expanding existing accounts, managing and improving customer relationships, improving profitability of accounts, and handling first line service.
  • Proven track record in a similar position supported by management and customer references
  • Successful engagement with customers, specifically Business Management and key stakeholders
  • Excellent product and industry knowledge
  • Strong understanding of key stakeholders and customer dynamics
  • Strong solution selling and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
  • Long-term, strategic focus on account
  • Candidates must be fluent in local language and English, additional languages are advantageous
  • The position requires the willingness to travel on a frequent basis, i.e. on average three days per week
