Job Description
A400M Operational Powerplant Engineer
An A400M Operational Powerplant Engineer/Support is required to work in the calculation, support, and report of the A400M critical parts life limits. He / she will integrate in a multidisciplinary team in the support centre of the German Air Force in the Ground Support System department.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Evaluate through inputs from suppliers the engine performance and operability situation.
- To co-ordinate with the powerplant departments and stakeholders to rationalise and optimize its integration in the maintenance systems and the documentation.
- To ensure proper development and documentation of the performance activities
- Provide engine performance data and expertise to customer.
- To provide advice of the implications and processes.
- To participate in the different powerplant workshops and meetings with internal departments or customer.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:
- Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineer or equivalent (Master or similar)
- Experience in Powerplant activities or similar is desirable.
- Capable of creating and maintaining the necessary documentation files, allowing easy access to other members of the team.
- Maintenance Data System (MDS) knowledge is necessary.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to needs and times.
- English: Negotiation Level.
- German or Spanish will be strongly valued.
- Good communication skills: with customer, either external or internal. He / She will be involved in calls/ meetings with customers and other partners.
- The candidate shall work in a multidisciplinary and international team.
- The candidate shall have experience of working with high quality standards and have an understanding of job traceability.
- The candidate must be proactive and highly customer minded. It is essential to have good co-ordination and relational skills to deal with Customers, and other Airbus departments.
- The candidate must be willing to work under time pressure and to act in an autonomous way without close supervision.
